New dosers, dryers and control software from Piovan.(Materials handling)

RECENT innovations in materials handling equipment to be shown by Piovan include new dosing units, drying systems and feed system control software.

The new MDP300 dosing unit is suitable for installation on the feed throat of processing machines and is available in configurations up to four dosing stations. Piovan rates it at 30 to 200 kg/h for injection moulding, up to 250 kg/h for blow moulding and up to 300 kg/h for extrusion.

Virgin material, regrind, masterbatch and additive are dosed by pneumatic slide gates into a conical mixing chamber which prevents material hang-up.
